Marco & Paula to Slovenia and Croatia in their Adriatik 650 SP

It is August 25th around 10 o’clock when we leave Den Bosch, Holland with destination Vienna. Finally, after working too hard, our holiday starts. A big disadvantage of having a motorhome is that you want to go on holiday more often than usual but working takes up so much of your free time!

We take our scooter to the city on August 27th, Sunday, where we lose ourselves in the palace of Empress Sissi, Schönbrunn. It is very tourist, but so beautiful. After a short stop in Wertheim we drive to Donauparc Klosterneuburg, Austria on August 26th. Nice starting point to visit Vienna. You can even see almost everything inside. Too bad it is not allowed to take pictures inside, but outside in the park and the prince garden it is allowed and it is truly wonderful.

The next day we visit the city Vienna and find a nice terrace from where we can see all the beautiful sites Vienna has to offer.

On Tuesday we visit the Spanish Horses and continue our journey to Slovenia where we want to explore Bled. Oh well, then you just stay a day longer and walk around the lake to make beautiful pictures and to relax and enjoy our holiday. We found a very nice spot on Camping Bled. The next day we come back from a shower and we run into an acquaintance with which we had diner a couple of times in September 2005 in Primosten, Croatia. What a small world! We had planned to walk around the lake, but that never happened... that day.

On Saturday September 2 we follow direction Vrsar Croatia where we meet friends to go scuba diving for a day or 10. Campsite Porto Sole has a perfect diving school you know.

On Friday we visit the Plitvice lakes which are really breathtaking. Time flies when you’re having fun and onThursday September 14th our friends are going home and we go to Natureparc Plitvicka Jezera, near the Bosnian border. We stay at camp Korana. This campsite does not have numbers or special places; you can stay where-ever you like on this beautiful camping. One has to have seen that once in a lifetime!

Via Otočac we drive to Senj Saturday, following the coastline we go to Opatija. Unfortunately we couldn’t find a campsite we liked there so we drive further until Moscenicka Draga. A very nice place until the weather turned really bad. The following day is not better so we decide to go to Italy to stay at Gardalake for the last couple of days. It feels like home!

After flattening our low table (it fits precisely under the motorhome) by driving over it and throwing it away we go home. After a very nice journey via the Reschenpaß and the Fernpaß we stop at a nice motorhome stop in Weißbach (just before Kempten). Because we do not want to go home yet we also stay a night on motorhome stop Goch, where you can have a decent meal for not too much money. After all, we are Dutch!

And then, after 3500 problem less km with our Adriatik Coral S 650 SP we return home on Friday September 22nd.
