Cycling tour of Slovenia 2017 (Tour of Slovenia 2017) is the biggest cycling event in Slovenia in year 2017.

As part of the intensive preparations for this year's twenty-fourth international cycling race Tour of Slovenia, which is yet again "embracing" Slovenia between 15th and 18th June 2017, an introductory press conference was held at the premises of the long-time general sponsor of the tour, Telekom Slovenia, d.d. ""Fight for green" is the latest powerful as well as multifaceted slogan of the tour, which on the one hand, directly refers to the battle for the leader's jersey – this will now be green and not yellow as before – and in the broader sense instructs people to "keep our planet green".

The fight for a clean and healthy environment remains at the forefront of our Tour of Slovenia – this time with an even bigger emotional charge", said the Tour of Slovenia director and the director of the Adria Mobil Cycling Team, Bogdan Fink.

The riders will have cycled almost 650 kilometres by the end of the race, which will take place in four stages: the first one is set between Koper and Kočevje, the second one will encircle Ljubljana starting and finishing in the Slovenian capital city, the third stage, which is the hardest and most likely the decisive one, will be held on the Celje – Rogla route, and the last one is set on the Rogaška Slatina – Novo mesto route. Around 130 riders from 17 teams (that have registered so far) will battle it out for the leader's green jersey. Five of the teams are from the elite World Tour group.

"The Adria Mobil Cycling Team vigorously implements its mission and incorporates all the aspects of this beautiful sport in its activities – it is all about working with a professional continental team, organizing sporting events at both recreational and professional level, the education of young talented athletes, and most of all, raising awareness about the importance of green mobility. For the club, company and me personally, green mobility means looking forward; it is a topical issue as well as an answer to the challenges of the future. Each in their own field, the cycling team as well as Adria Mobil will both continue to strive to look for the best possible answers to the "green challenges" and set even more demanding targets for ourselves ", highlighted the president of the Adria Mobil Cycling Team and executive director of the Human Resources and Organization Division of Adria Mobil, Mojca Novak during the presentation of this year's tour.

The 4 days of the Tour of Slovenia 2017 will also be broadcasting over Eurosport TV.
