World-class athletes are a role model and inspiration for us all, so it’s great to see Adria brand ambassador and World Class Partner, Jakov Fak back and hungry for medals.

The Slovenian Ski Association and national team recently assembled at Pokljuka, with the World Cup and the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea firmly in their sights. And Fak, the leading biathlete is once again raring to go.

For Jakov, beset by injury last season, this is a time to look forward. He says he has never felt so focused or ready and has high hopes for the year ahead. Born in 1987 in Croatian and who adopted Slovenia as his country in 2010, won the Bronze medal at the World Championships in 2009 and a Bronze medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics. At the 2012 World Championships he won a Gold medal in the 20km event and a Silver medal in the mixed relay.

Biathlon is a very demanding winter sport, a curious mixture of cross-country skiing and rifle shooting, rooted in the deep traditions of Scandinavia and followed by thousands of fans across the Alpine countries of Europe. It places special demands on the athletes, physical strength and fitness of course but also pin point accuracy and mental strength.

For Jakov Fak, having a Sonic Supreme as his trusty motorhome companion, means he and his trainer can maximize practice and training time, use the home comforts to plan and review performances and when competing minimize travel and stress.

Adria is delighted to be an official partner to Jakov for the coming year and wish him all the best to achieve again at the highest level.
