Twin user #222 retires
9-time world champion, Tony Cairoli, retires after glorious 18 years.
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Tony Cairoli drew the curtain on a glorious 18-year career as a professional motocross racer at the season-ending Grand Prix of Cittá de Mantova at Mantova on November 10th. In his honour, FIM Motocross World Championship promoters Infront Motor Racing, together with the FIM, decided to retire the #222 to celebrate his outstanding career.
Cairoli, won 9 world championships, with 178 wins in a career spanning nearly twenty years. In recent years Tony has been supported in his efforts with a special, custom Adria Twin campervan. This fleet of custom Twins was supplied by Adria to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team and can be seen at races across Europe, providing home comforts, a place to sleep and a rider’s command centre during the races.
Team mate Jeffrey Herlings also uses a custom Adria Twin which helped him in winning the 2021 MX GP.
