The four Adria motorhomes of the Red Bull KTM Racing Factory team are dozing inside of the Heritage Leader holds, a NYK Line ship that sailed from Le Havre and heading to the port of Lima in Perù, where the 2019 Dakar will start on January the 6th .
The motorhomes of the big team KTM, Austrian motorcycle and sports car manufacturer that for 17 years has conquered the highest step of the podium of the Dakar rally, will host the official riders for all times of the most famous endurance competition on the planet.
Who will be the riders of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team and the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing on board the Adria vehicles during the Dakar 2019? Sonic will host the two Husqvarna official drivers, Pablo Quintanilla and Andrew Short, while the two Matrix will be given to the winner of the Dakar 2018, Matthias Walkner together with Luciano Benavides and to the Australian guy Toby Price, third at the Cordoba finish line in Dakar 2018, who will share it with the Britain Sam Sunderland, number 14 at the start this year.
The fourth motorhome, a Sonic, is used as a mobile office to develop race strategies, organize briefings and logistics plans by the two team managers, Jordi Viladoms, KTM, and 'Pela' Renet, Husqvarna. This happens during the day. No use denying it, it’s impossible to resist the Sonic: so comfortable and spacious that at night the two ‘bosses’ will make use of its beds to sleep deeply and rest.
Dakar 2019 will start from Lima on January the 6th with a first stage that will bring all 334 crews participating in Pisco. Adria motorhomes will face the first day a 250 km transfer, ready to welcome Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team riders and Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing riders on their arrival. Motorcycle riders that day will have covered over 400 kilometers, and their first special time trial of 84 kilometers. Who will be the fastest?
