In 2025, join us in celebrating six decades of the Adria brand as
Adventurous, Dynamic, Recognized, Innovative and Ambitious.
From humble beginnings. It started with visionary individuals and an idea, followed by a 1:20 scale drawing showing the shape of the first Adria caravan, Adria 375.
It took two months to produce the first prototype at IMV (Industry of Motor Vehicles), the forerunner to Adria Mobil, under the direction of Martin Sever and Jurij Levičnik, with the first sample built for a well-known buyer in Sweden, Karl Willhelm Karlsson.
Martin Sever, who designed the caravan, himself drove over 2,000 kilometres to deliver Adria 375 to the Stockholm fair. ‘’Even the longest journey begins with a single step’ – as he put it.
Many improvements were developed to satisfy Swedish customers: better insulation, a safer chassis, and reduced weight, still part of the Adria DNA and so began the pioneering story of Adria’s leadership in the Swedish market, to today.
In the 1970’s, the Adria brand came to dictate the tempo of other European producers, by introducing double-glazed windows and warm-water heating in its larger models. This catapulted Adria to the very summit of European caravanning.
The Adria story had begun in earnest.

Adria’s success from the start was undoubtedly due to a sensible selling point ‘’a light and well-equipped caravan at an affordable price’’ combined with an innovative dynamism within the organisation, a spirit which has pervaded its history ever since.
There are many milestones in the Adria story, many key people, events and especially innovative new products, which shaped the brand.

The Adria name is synonmous with spending free time on the Adriatic sea, hence the use of the Adria blue, which became most recognized on ‘blue band’ caravans introduced in 1970.
In 1988 designer Marjan Paternoster designed a new logo, the red icon, which became known to many as the ‘snail’. These two elements combined have been part of the Adria logo story ever since.
